Acupuncture
Acupuncture, an ancient medicine that has been around for 5000 years, works with the body's own energy currents. These energy currents have been mapped out and known as "meridians" that are correlated to particular organ and systems in the body.  Very thin, sterilized needles are inserted into specific "points" along the meridian pathways to help direct the flow of energy known as  Qi. Acupuncture can help support the body to heal itself, and to maintain health.   An acupuncture treatment can last from 30-45 minutes depending on the condition being treated.  The number of treatments is dependent on the severity of the problem and your body's response to the treatment.
Intravenous Vitamin Therapy (IV)
Nutrients (such as vitamins, minerals, and amino acids) can be injected intravenously or intramuscularly so that these nutrients enter the blood stream directly where they are available to the body. Many people are not receiving the daily optimal nutrient intakes needed by the body due to a poorly functioning digestive system, a diet high in processed nutrient-depleted foods or sugars, or excessive habits (smoking, alcohol) that can deplete the body's own nutrient stores.  Nutritional deficiencies may be linked to certain diseases or illnesses. Intravenous Vitamin Therapy can be a helpful way to deliver therapeutic doses of nutrients. A full assessment by Dr. Karim is required to determine if administration of intravenous vitamin therapy is appropriate for your case.  Sometimes, intramuscular (IM) injections of certain vitamins, such as, B12 and folic acid, maybe be recommended.

Chelation Therapy
Chelation therapy is a treatment developed to assist the body to eliminate heavy metal such as lead &/or mercury.  Chelation can be provided as an oral or intravenous therapy or oral supplements or a combination of both.  A full assessment by Dr. Karim is required to determine if chelation is appropriate for your case.
